APS crews will be shutting off power in the Uptown area on Friday, Oct. 20th between 8 and 11 a.m. to rebuild electric lines and replace poles. 


The outage will start in the area of Old Indian Road and Leo Schumer Road and go all the way up the canyon, according to APS. Around 530 customers will be affected in the Oak Creek Canyon area.

Making special arrangements to prepare for the outages is advised by by APS. It is also reccomened that residents keep refrigerators and freezers closed as much as possible, remove vehicles from garages and unplug or shut off sensitive electornic equipment.

Residents should also notify their security monitoring system if they have one.
